Abstract:
Derived from the Japanese word for chit-chat, Pecha Kucha is a presentation format in which presentations can be quickly, easily and efficiently shared. The purpose of Pecha Kucha is to keep presentations (such as PowerPoint presentations) concise, the interest level high, with many presenters sharing their ideas within the course of one session. Pecha Kucha uses a 20X20 format: Presenters are permitted a slideshow of 20 images (slides), each slide shown for 20 seconds. This results in a total presentation time of 6 minutes 40 seconds. Pecha Kucha events have become popular in academia and in the corporate sector.
